Background
Mr. Fleming is the inaugural Executive-in-Residence Lecturer for the Beaver College of Health Sciences and its Health Care Management and Nutrition Department. Mr. Fleming transitioned to academia after a rewarding forty (40) year career in aging services administration, the last twenty-five (25) of which was as CEO of The Well-Spring Group based In Greensboro, NC. Mr. Fleming successful led Well-Spring to long-term financial stability through organic growth, collaboration, and merger and acquisition activity ultimately resulting in the formation of a new not-for-profit, aging services organization known as Kintura. At the time of Fleming's departure Kintura was North Carolina's largest not-for-profit aging services provider. Over his forty years, Mr. Fleming also served in various volunteer leadership roles including; Past National Chair of LeadingAge (the nation's largest trade association for aging services providers), Past Chair of LeadingAge North Carolina, Past Chair of PACE of the Triad, Past Chair of the North Carolina State Board of Examiners for Licensing Nursing Home Administrators, and Past Chair of Appalachian State University's Beaver College of Health Sciences. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Fleming is credentialed as a Licensed Nursing Home Administration and completed Executive Education at Harvard University. Mr. Fleming and his wife, Anne, of 38 years have two daughters and one granddaughter. In his spare time Fleming enjoys golf, general fitness activities, and time with family and friends around the dinner table.
